Grace Boguzas...

Grace has been practising Pilates for 10 years, having discovered it when recovering from a back injury that threatened her career as a dancer. She trained professionally at Laine Theatre Arts and London Studio Centre, where she studied for a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance and gained teaching qualifications in dance. She went on to perform in the musical We Will Rock You as well as various regional productions.

Grace began to teach Pilates matwork while she was still performing. She found this very rewarding and when she realised the positive affect her teaching was having on her clients, she was inspired to train with the Pilates Foundation at Laban with Jessica Moolenaar. She has studied somatic theory and anatomy trains and attended workshops in Alexander Technique, Bowen Therapy and the Feldenkrais Method, all of which she draws from in her work.

Mara Vivas...

Mara Vivas is a comprehensively qualified BASI Pilates teacher. She has had an extensive performing career, dancing in her native Venezuela, as well as USA, Spain, Germany and Austria. She has also choreographed internationally.

Her continuing fascination with the body in motinon led her to train in 2009 with Body Arts and Science International (BASI) in Austria, whilst continuing her full-time job as a dancer at Opernhaus Graz.

Mara's class emphasizes flow, with focus on breath and ease of movement. She believes that this leads to a more integrated use of the body, improving both strength and flexibility. Since her arrival in the UK she has continued to dance and choreograph, bringing her continuing movement exploration, and sense of creativity and play to her class.
